The VII edition of The Grand Russian Ball will take place in January 2019 in one of the historical palaces in the center of Rome. A socio-cultural event aimed to strengthen relations between Russia and the “Bel Paese”, and an occasion to send a message of peace. The event will celebrate the name of the famous Russiancomposer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, author of several well-known works and ballets, including also “Nutcracker”, “Swan Lake” and “The Sleeping Beauty”. From 1872 to 1890 Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky visited Italy nine times and was particularly fascinated by the cities of Rome, Florence, Venice, and Naples and was inspired by the Italianweather and nature, its history and artistic patrimony. This is the reason why many important musical compositions have been created during his stay in Italy.
Most of the guests will wear elegant costumes inspired by the historical books of XVIII and XIX century created by Italian tailor Paola Cozzoli.
